Today...Sunday July 12th I decided to run off to the local Verizon Wireless store and pick up the new Blackberry Tour 9630.  A remarkable improvement from the over-hyped Storm.  Like it's inferior predecessor, the GPS IS unlocked, as is the SIM card port (by calling global services at 800-711-8300).  The much touted updated operating system seems stable, yet, like any new device/os, has limited 3rd party application support.  Initially it is clear internet speed has improved, the refined os is cleaner and the camera is a fine improvement.  Compared to the bold, the better 3.2 MP camera outweighs the lack of WiFi.  How often are you going to use WiFi on a blackberry?  I will keep an update on battery life as well as general usabilility.  It is clear this is an improved device, and for the money it may be worth it.
